Edwin Gould has been a potter for sixteen years. Before his retirement in 1995, he spent thirty-five years as a scientist and naturalist. He studied bats, moles, tenrecs, shrews, rodents, earthworms, turtles, island flora and bat pollination of flowers in Madagascar, Malaysia dn North America. Ed integrates his knowledge and experiences in nature and science into his artwork. His bar mitzvah in 1996 sparked his interest in Judaica. Ed has been a student in Baltimore Clayworks and the Columbia Art Center.
